How long will the install itself take?

What happens at the end of the job?

Can you work around my solar panels?

After my roof is finished, how long until the final inspection?

That part is up to your local code inspector, not us — and after a major storm, inspectors get backlogged and it can take a few weeks. We request the inspection, leave the required ladder, and stay on it until it's signed off.

Should I leave the permit posted on my door?

Yes — leave it up until the code inspector signs off. Taking it down early can cause the roof to fail inspection. Once you see a signature on the completed line, it's yours to keep; if the inspector notes any corrections, tell us and we'll handle the repair and re-inspection.

Why is there a ladder against my house after the job?

We're required to leave a ladder so the inspector can get on the roof. We come back and grab it once the inspection is done — usually the same day, sometimes a day or two later.

How does payment work?

50% deposit secures your install date and orders materials; the balance is due at completion after your final walkthrough — or when your insurance carrier releases final payment on claim-funded jobs.

What about my insurance deductible?

Your deductible is normally your only true out-of-pocket on a covered claim, and North Carolina requires it to be paid as written — we handle it by the book and walk the math with you line by line so there are no surprises.

I got a check from my insurance company I don't understand. Should I deposit it?

Call us first. Carriers issue checks at different claim stages, and depositing the wrong one at the wrong time can complicate a claim. We'll tell you exactly what it's for.
