ATTIC SERVICES
WESTERN NC

Your attic quietly decides how long your roof lasts. The ventilation, insulation, and moisture control up there are what keep the roof deck dry and the shingles from cooking — and RuFR USA handles all of it with the same team that installs the roof above. Heat and trapped moisture destroy roofs from below, long before anything looks wrong from the street, which is exactly why we treat the attic as part of the roof and not an afterthought.

What We Do

BELOW THE DECK,
ABOVE THE CEILING

Everything above your ceiling that decides how your home feels and how long your roof lives — handled by one team that works both sides of the deck.

Attic Insulation

Air sealing and blown-in or batt insulation brought up to the right R-value for a mountain climate — so your home holds its heat in January, stays cooler in July, and your HVAC stops fighting a losing battle. We seal the air bypasses first, because insulation laid over unsealed leaks never performs the way the label promises.

Attic Mold Removal

Containment, HEPA cleaning, and treatment of the affected sheathing — but the part that actually matters is fixing the moisture source feeding it. Wipe mold down without correcting the ventilation or leak behind it and it is back within a season. We solve the cause, not just the stain on the plywood.

Ventilation Balancing

Intake at the soffits and exhaust at the ridge have to be matched and unobstructed for an attic to breathe. Too little airflow bakes your shingles from beneath in summer and traps the moisture that grows mold and rots decking in winter. We measure what you have and correct the balance.

Moisture Diagnosis

Bath and kitchen fans dumping humid air into the attic instead of outside, blocked soffit vents, and slow roof leaks are the usual culprits behind a damp, "sweaty" attic. We trace the moisture back to its actual source and fix it, rather than wiping down the symptom and leaving the cause to come right back.

Attic Inspections

Included with our roof inspections whenever the situation calls for it — because what is happening above your ceiling usually explains the stains, drafts, and high bills you notice below it. We document what we find with photos, so you can see the full picture from roof deck to drywall.

Roof Coordination

Attic ventilation and roofing are one system, so we schedule the work together. New intake and exhaust vents, sealed penetrations, and baffles all get handled during the roof project — done once and correctly, instead of cut into a finished roof after the fact.

How It Works

ATTIC WORK,
DIAGNOSED FIRST

01

Inspect & measure

We start in the attic itself — measuring the R-value you actually have, checking that soffit and ridge vents are open and balanced, and hunting down the air bypasses and moisture sources most contractors never look for. You get photos and a written picture of what is really going on above your ceiling.

02

Diagnose the real problem

An insulation complaint is often a ventilation problem; a mold problem is often a bath fan venting into the attic. Because we work both sides of the roof deck, we separate the symptom from the cause and tell you which one is actually driving your comfort, your energy bills, or your roof damage.

03

Fix the source, then the system

Moisture sources and air leaks get corrected first, then ventilation is balanced, then insulation is brought up to target — in that order, because doing them out of sequence just buries the real problem under new material. Living spaces are protected and the work site is cleaned up at the end of every day.

04

Verify & document

We confirm airflow, photograph the finished coverage, and leave you with a clear record of what was done and why. When the attic work is part of a roof project, it is all registered under one warranty with one point of contact — no finger-pointing between trades later.

THE ATTIC IS HALF
YOUR ROOF'S LIFESPAN

An under-ventilated attic bakes shingles from the underside in summer and builds ice dams along the eaves in winter. Trapped moisture condenses on the sheathing, feeds mold, and slowly rots the decking — all while the roof still looks perfectly fine from the street. By the time the damage shows up as a stain on a bedroom ceiling, it has usually been building above it for years.

Because RuFR works both sides of the roof deck, we catch what single-trade contractors miss: the insulation problem that is actually a ventilation problem, or the "mold problem" that is actually a bathroom fan quietly venting into the attic. Fixing the roof without fixing what is underneath it just starts the same clock over again — so we look at the whole system and tell you the truth about what it needs.

  • Free attic checks included with roof inspections when warranted
  • Air sealing at top plates, chases, and penetrations before insulation
  • Baffles installed to keep soffit-to-ridge airflow open
  • Moisture sources fixed first — mold removal without it is temporary

What Homeowners Say

5-STAR RATED ACROSS WESTERN NC

"One of the hardest working group of guys I've seen in a while. Beautiful roof, excellent cleanup and they got it done in one day! Amazing. Thank you"

Randy B.Brevard, NC

"Parker and his guys did a fantastic job replacing our roof which has 40 solar panels installed on it. We were promised a 10 year warranty on both the roof and solar, something other companies weren't able to do because they didn't do both trades. We had leaks before and now we don't - SO HAPPY"

Mike K.Hendersonville, NC

"Parker looked carefully at my roof and fixed problems that I suspect others would have ignored. He was attentive to every place where water could get in, and reinforced those areas. In particular, he saw how the step flashing on one part of my roof was not adequate to keep everything dry. He went in and devised a solution that is substantially better than was there before. I highly recommend his work!"
