SOLAR DETACH
& RESET
Replacing a roof with panels on it is really two jobs — detach and reset. We handle the roofing and coordinate the solar side with our partner, WNC SolarSquad, so the whole thing runs as one project: panels off, roof on, panels back and tested. One point of contact from start to finish, and a roof built to keep its warranty under the panels.
While The Array Is Down
FULL SOLAR SERVICE
WITH YOUR RESET
A roof replacement is the perfect moment to fix everything about your solar setup you've been living with — our solar partner handles the array work while we handle the roof, on one coordinated schedule and one bill.
Troubleshoot & Diagnose
Underperforming system? Panel-level faults, inverter issues, wiring, and shading get diagnosed and fixed while the array is already down.
Critter Guard
Squirrels nesting under the array? Critter guard goes on with the reset — the cheapest insurance your wiring will ever get.
Layout Redesign
Bad original layout? Panels can be moved or the array redesigned for better production while it's off the roof.
Add Panels
Want more power? The racking is already open — adding panels during a reset is the cheapest they'll ever be to install.
Inverter Upgrades
Aging string inverter? Upgrade to a modern inverter or micro-inverters during the same project.
Battery Storage
Backup power installed and integrated while the system is already being recommissioned.
The Process
DETACH. REPLACE.
RESET. TEST.
Detach
Panels safely removed and wiring properly disconnected — the morning of or the day before the roof work — and stored on-site.
Replace
Full tear-off and replacement with CertainTeed Landmark — the only shingle warranty we know of that survives solar. The roof itself usually still goes on in one day.
Reset
Panels reinstalled on the original or an improved layout, with quality racking and flashing hardware — every penetration sealed to roof standard, because to us it IS the roof.
Test
System recommissioned and tested for full output before the job is called done. Production only pauses during the detach-to-reset window.
THE WARRANTY TRAP EVERY
SOLAR HOMEOWNER FALLS INTO
Ask any roofer bidding on your solar home: "What happens to the roof warranty when the panels go on?" For most roofing companies, the honest answer is: it's voided. When a leak shows up at a mount point, the roofer blames the solar installer, the solar installer blames the roofer — and you pay.
We set this up differently. We partner with WNC SolarSquad, a dedicated local solar specialist, so the detach and reset are handled by people who do it every day — coordinated with our roofing on one schedule, under one point of contact. It's a clean roof-and-solar handoff most roofers never bother to set up, and it's why the panels going back on don't have to cost you your roof warranty.
- Storm inspections cover the array too — micro-fractures, racking, wiring impacts
- Detach & reset cost written INTO your insurance claim, not left as your surprise
- Systems other companies installed still welcome — detach, reset, troubleshoot, upgrade
- CertainTeed Landmark: the solar-tolerant shingle warranty, standard on our roofs

What Homeowners Say
5-STAR RATED ACROSS WESTERN NC
"One of the hardest working group of guys I've seen in a while. Beautiful roof, excellent cleanup and they got it done in one day! Amazing. Thank you"
Randy B. — Brevard, NC
"Parker and his guys did a fantastic job replacing our roof which has 40 solar panels installed on it. We were promised a 10 year warranty on both the roof and solar, something other companies weren't able to do because they didn't do both trades. We had leaks before and now we don't - SO HAPPY"
Mike K. — Hendersonville, NC
"Parker looked carefully at my roof and fixed problems that I suspect others would have ignored. He was attentive to every place where water could get in, and reinforced those areas. In particular, he saw how the step flashing on one part of my roof was not adequate to keep everything dry. He went in and devised a solution that is substantially better than was there before. I highly recommend his work!"

Questions & Answers
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Typically the detach happens the morning of or day before the roof work, and the reset follows right behind it. Most projects are still measured in days — and the roof itself usually still goes on in one day.
